As a young and somewhat naive professional, I felt ready to ignite the corporate world. Besides, my father had done so, and I had a good academic background and could adapt easily to new circumstances. Could anything stand in my way?

My first job was with Chevron Oil Company in San Fransisco. I put my knowledge of financial and accounting concepts to work. It was challenging, but I was prepared to work hard. Was I prepared to be successful? A resounding NO would be the correct answer!

The keys to success in a career go beyond perfect performance. Why do I say this? Knowing exactly what is expected of you requires thinking outside the box. Taking the initiative, anticipating needs, communicating well, establishing goals, providing solutions, and being compassionate are all part of the job.

I did well in my career, but only after receiving excellent career training and advice. A well-written resume will help to receive an interview. However, there must be more than a list of credentials and accomplishments. For an employer to take notice of your resume, you need to make a strong and clear impact. Your ability to think and articulate must be exceptional during the interview. These skills have a learning curve, so it takes practice and training to master them.

My career transition from financial analysis to marketing/writing led me to find my niche.

I worked for one of Pittsburgh, PA's most significant printing trade associations. I was creating effective multi-channel marketing strategies which were engaging, including email blasts, blogs, ad campaigns, and results-driven social media posts.

The work I have done as a freelance content writer has been published on several international sites. My website is jetsetchic.com.

My goal is to help you achieve success by curating career-changing strategies. Let's form a working relationship so that your sails can begin to rise.
